Karlye Lapetina is a singer/songwriter based in Chicago. She draws her musical influences from everywhere (AC/DC, Shania Twain, The Beatles, The Kinks, Johnny Cash, Sheryl Crow). Music is her passion and she has followed that since the seed was planted in her heart. She started performing at coffee shops and once she felt ready, decided to amp it up with a band.
To her credit, she's played live on WGN and ABC for Chicago's Thanksgiving Day Parade broadcast nationally. She's opened the front room at Joe's Bar on Weed Street for country acts Phil Vassar and Sugarland. She's twice been a finalist for Chicago radio US99's "Battle of the Bands" (Country Thunder). Other Chicago venues she's performed at include the House of Blues, Double Door, Abbey Pub, Schubas, and Millennium Park (101.9's "Party in the Park").  Most notably, she played a sold out show opening for American rock musician Chris Issak. Much more music news to come, so STAY TUNED!!!!
